Ultimate Smash Burger

Ingredients

  • 3lbs 80/20 hamburger meat
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup shreddded colby jack cheese
  • 4-5 shakes of your favorite burger seasoning (Back Porch Burger)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 12 Cheedar Cheese slices
  • 1 pkg hamburger buns
  • 1/2 onion (optional
  • 1/2 lb jalapeƱos (optional)
  • 5 slices of bacon, cut in half (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add hamburger meat, egg, shredded cheese, burger seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce to a mixing bowl
  2. Mix until everything looks evenly incorporated
  3. Pre-heat flattop to medium-high heat
  4. If you want any of the optional items, now is the time to add them to the flattop
  5. Start portioning the hamburger meat into 1/3 lb balls and place on a cookie sheet.
  6. Once all the meat is portioned, it is time to add it to our hot flattop
  7. Flip the optional items or remove them if they are fully cooked to your liking
  8. Add hamburger balls evenly spaced out, don't overcrowd your cooktop
  9. Let them cook for about a minute, and then smash them as thin as you can get them
  10. Prepare to add cheese slices to the smashed patties
  11. Flip the patties once the top is almost fully cooked
  12. Add cheese, and then grab a pan to put the cooked burgers in
  13. Once the cheese is melted to your liking, remove it from the flattop
  14. Open buns and add your preferred condiments
